Industrial Revolution Reflection 2

I really liked the activity we did today because it gave me a sense of what maybe people back then went through every day. I also liked it because it was an out of the box way for use to learn something. The first activity we did doesn't even come close to what we did today. On the first activity we made a toy which was relaxing and peaceful. But on the second day we were really pushed around and yelled at t make a product as fast as we could. All in all I personally thought the second day was a lot more fun.                    

Industrial Revolution activity Response

I thought that this first activity was a little different from what we have done in the year so far. I liked it because it made us think on our feet about making something realistic but still something a kid would be fascinated by. I liked the freedom we got in what we were able to create. So over all I thought it was a fun activity.

Roller Coaster

Oh my stomach I thought as I was being pulled up the conveyer belt of the roller coaster. Too much soda and junk food mixed with pure anxiety and a hint of fear. As I rode to the top my heart started to thump in my ears. The conveyer belt came to a screeching halt. We were at the top! Then slowly and ever so slowly we started the great plunder. At first I thought I was going to throw up, but then it all went away. I was fine. The wind rushed past me as if I was only a piece of dust in the wind. The carts all clattered and shook violently as the decent stopped. Whoosh we went around the turn as if a car was about to hit a wall but just missed it.  We flew violently from side to side as we rounded turns and flew up and down. Then came the looped da loop. I held on for my life. We started the climb but as we reached the top time seemed to stop. I waited and waited for use to go down. And we finally did. We swished out of the looped da loop and started to stop. As soon as it had started, it had ended. I got off and said to myself  "lets do that again."  

Necessity is the Mother of Inventions

Necessity is the mother of inventions; I think this saying is trying to say that we invent things because someone in the world needs it. Some examples are the cotton gin made by Whitney; the cotton gin changed the life of America because it made it so one person could do what used to take one hundred people to do. Another is the airplane made by Orville and Wilber Wright. It changed the world because it connects people through flight. These are just some of the inventions that changed people’s lives there are many more.

How I learn Best

I usually learn best by visual learning and by auditory learning. With reading books I usually pick up main points but some times miss small little bits of information but there are occasions where I pick up everything said in the book. When I watch movies I pick up some but not all like reading. In auditory learning like lectures I usually get everything said and it sticks in my mind. I really like discussions because I like to learn about how other people think and thoughts they have.

Quarter 1 Goals

1. The first highlight is I have Mr.Coyle for my humanities teacher and my second would probably be I have a close friend in almost all my classes.

2. My first impression of humanities was that it was going to be very fun.

3. One goal I have is to read a lot so my reading skills and vocabulary increase greatly. My second goal would be to make some new friends with people i don't really know very much.  

My Gang

My gang consists of mostly my best friends. Declan because he and I are very much alike. Hun gyu because he is very funny. Joe because he is even funnier than Hun gyu. Jug because hes really cool. John because hes the pet of the gang. Kartik because we both like video games and technology. Do Hyun and Kang Heun because i have alot of clases with them. Corey because he was my old best friend. Sophia because we really understand each other. Aysha because we both like the same things. Shri and Isabelle because we like to laugh. Morgann because we are good friends. Seb (sebastion) because he is just plain awsome.
